Quality
Five dimensions of quality. One goal.
Today, manufacturing custom orthoses with advanced technology takes more than craft experience: it takes specialisation, control and the ability to evolve.
ISO 9001 · Quality management
ISO 14001 · Environmental management
At Biomech, quality rests on five complementary areas: research, processes, environmental management, clinical control and customer experience.
Each has its own control mechanisms, specialised professionals and monitoring systems. The whole team works on a single orthosis and towards a single goal: to manufacture exactly the solution prescribed by the podiatrist and help improve their patient's treatment.
Having a specialised structure, with independent checks at every stage, is not an optional extra. It is a real advantage in terms of precision, traceability, consistency and process safety.

The five dimensions of quality
Research quality
Innovation only has value when it is backed by knowledge, methodology and evaluation.
Research is part of Biomech's evolution and of how we develop new solutions, materials, processes and technologies applied to podiatric orthotics. This work is endorsed by the FIP, reinforcing our commitment to well-founded innovation aimed at bringing new possibilities to professionals.
Research means analysing, testing, learning and evolving before bringing a new solution into everyday practice.
Because it is not just about using new technologies, but about understanding what they can really offer podiatry.

Process quality
The precision of the result also depends on the consistency of the process that makes it possible.
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001, which sets out a framework based on defined procedures, control, traceability, evaluation and continuous improvement.
Every stage is part of a connected process: from receiving and managing the prescription through to design, manufacturing, final inspection and dispatch.
Standardising certain procedures does not conflict with customising the orthosis. On the contrary: it allows customisation to take place within a controlled, reproducible system.

Quality and environmental management
The quality of an organisation is also measured by the way it carries out its activity.
Biomech has an environmental management system certified to ISO 14001, which builds environmental criteria into the management and continuous improvement of our processes.
The responsible use of resources, control of the impacts associated with our activity and the constant search for more efficient processes are part of how we understand a technologically advanced company.
Innovation and sustainability must evolve together.

Clinical quality
With a custom foot orthosis, technical control of the product is not enough.
That is why every orthosis undergoes a quality check carried out by a podiatrist, who verifies that the manufactured solution matches the professional's prescription.
We check that the design, characteristics and prescribed elements have been correctly carried over to the final product before dispatch.
This check adds something an automated process can hardly replace: podiatric judgement.
Technology lets us design and manufacture with enormous precision. Professional knowledge lets us confirm that this precision is being applied in the right direction.
The quality our clients
confirm
Finally, there is a dimension of quality that no certificate can replace: trust maintained over time.
The loyalty of our clinics, repeat orders and positive feedback on treatments are a fundamental source of information about our work.
Listening to professionals lets us see how our solutions perform in clinical practice, identify opportunities for improvement and keep evolving products, processes and services.
That is why we see our relationship with clients as part of our own quality system: every experience, every comment and every treatment gives us information that helps us improve.
