Orders and manufacturing
What process does my order follow from sending it to receiving it?
Our workflow has five stages. First, the prescription: you send us the digital prescription from the platform or by email. Second, the 3D design: our team generates the CAD model adapted to the patient’s biomechanics.
Third, manufacturing: we produce the orthosis by CNC or 3D printing depending on the material chosen, with batch quality control. Fourth, delivery: certified shipment within 5 days. And fifth, follow-up: we review the result with your podiatrist and adjust the orthosis if needed, with the order status visible in real time from your professional area.
How long does it take to make an orthosis?
The delivery time is 5 days from when we validate the prescription. That time covers the 3D design, manufacturing and the order leaving our facilities.
If the prescription arrives incomplete or the foot record has a problem, the clock starts when we resolve it with you, so as not to compromise the final result.
How do I send a prescription to Biomech?
You can send us the digital prescription in two ways: from your Biomech Area account, which is the recommended route because it is recorded and you can follow its status, or by email to our technical team.
In both cases we need the prescription together with the patient’s foot record. If you are unsure what information to include, a specialist technician can review the case with you before the order is placed.
What technology are the orthoses made with?
We work with a complete CAD/CAM workflow. The model is designed in 3D from the patient’s biomechanics and produced by CNC milling or 3D printing, depending on the material chosen for the case.
This system lets us work to very tight tolerances and, above all, reproduce exactly the same orthosis in future replacements, something that cannot be guaranteed with manual methods.
Can I check the manufacturing status of my order?
Yes. From the Biomech Area you can see which stage each order is at in real time, from when the prescription is received until it leaves the laboratory.
Once it has been shipped, the area itself gives you the transport tracking, so you don’t need to contact us to find out where the package is.
Professional area
What hours can I contact the technical team?
We are available Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00. We are closed on Sundays.
We reply to any request within 48 hours, and the first consultation with a technician specialised in podiatry is always free and without obligation.
What training does Biomech offer professionals?
Biomech Area accounts include access to exclusive training for professionals, designed to help you get the most out of digital prescribing and the materials in the catalogue.
Can I download the materials’ technical data sheets?
Yes. The technical data sheets are available to download in your Biomech Area account, so you can check each material’s characteristics before deciding on the prescription or file them in the patient’s record.
What is the Biomech Area?
It is the professional platform from which you manage your whole relationship with the laboratory: sending prescriptions, managing and viewing orders, tracking manufacturing status in real time, downloading technical data sheets and accessing exclusive training.
The idea is that the podiatrist can focus on the patient and handle all the administrative work from one place, without chains of emails.
Shipping
What do I do if the package arrives damaged or something is missing?
Contact us as soon as possible, giving the order number and, if possible, a photograph of the state of the package. As these are certified shipments, we can open the incident with the carrier and start the replacement in parallel, so the clinic does not have to wait for the claim to be resolved.
Which areas do you deliver to?
We ship by certified delivery throughout Spain.
If your clinic is outside Spain or you need delivery to an area with special conditions, write to us before placing the order and we will confirm lead time and availability.
How do I track my shipment?
All our shipments are certified and include tracking. You can check the location of the package in real time from your Biomech Area account, without having to write to us or go to the carrier’s website.
What is the delivery time?
We deliver within 5 days of the prescription being validated. This is a guaranteed time and is part of our service commitment to the clinics that work with us.
